Frequently Asked Questions

What is Requiem for Ravenhurst?

Requiem for Ravenhurst invites you into the asylum on the day the doors closed, where shadows linger and history refuses to rest. This is a one hour immersive horror experience where you decide where to go, what to uncover, and which fragments of the past to follow or explore. No two paths are the same — but all lead deeper into the halls where science, spirits, and madness converge.

How is this different from a haunted house?

Traditional haunted houses push you through a maze for jump scares. In Requiem for Ravenhurst, you’re free to explore at your own pace. The scares come from the world itself: shifting rooms, ghosts who appear where you least expect them, and characters who may suddenly be inches away.

Are there jump scares?

Yes. Shadows may sneak up on you, loud noises might come out of nowhere, and some characters will startle you on purpose. But unlike a traditional maze, every scare is tied to the story unfolding around you rather than to one room. Characters and scares will shift about the space, and how scares arrive will not be predictable.

Will I have a seat?

No. This is a walking experience. You’ll move through different rooms and spaces during the hour, sometimes following characters, sometimes wandering on your own. The bar and lounge are open throughout the event and seats are available for anyone that needs to take a break.

Do I have to interact with the actors?

You’re not required to speak or participate, but you may be chosen for a one-on-one moment. These interactions are brief, story-driven, and optional. For the most part the actors will not acknowledge your presence until certain moments. You will not be touched. If you’re offered an a hand or an object you don’t want, simply step back and it will be given to someone else. We asks guests keep their voices hushed to not disturb other visitor’s experiences. Obviously, screams of fear are welcome and expected.

Is there a safe space if I need a break?

Yes. The bar and lounge area remain open throughout the experience, and the bathrooms are always available. You can step out, regroup, or just have a drink at any time. The bar and lounge will be a “no scare” area.

Is it scary?

Yes — expect a mix of atmosphere, suspense, and jump scares. It’s designed to be unsettling, intimate, and at times startling. There are no chainsaws or heavy gore (ehhh, on the gore, but definitely no chainsaws) — the horror comes from ghosts, shadows, and the story you uncover.

Is there an age restriction?

Recommended for ages 16+. The experience includes themes of death, grief, and supernatural encounters, as well as sudden scares and disturbing scenes. There is no restriction, but we ask that guests conduct themselves in mature and respectful manner, or they will be asked to leave.

What should I wear?

Dark clothing, as if you were attending a funeral. Please, no costumes or bright colors. Practical shoes that you will be comfortable moving around in.

How long is it?

Approximately one hour inside the experience. Please arrive early for check-in and the funeral lounge.

Will I be separated from my group?

Most likely. Guests are divided by tarot cards at the start, and the world shifts to move people through different paths. You may cross paths again, or you may have a different story than your friends. We recommend you go it alone, the experience rewards those that allow themselves to drift.

Is there onsite parking?

Yes, but it is limited. There is free street side parking. Park Hill is a residential neighborhood and we ask that our attendees be mindful of our neighbors.

Is the haunt handicap accessible?

Unfortunately, it is not.

What if I have a medical condition?

Our attraction has live actors, strobe lights, fog effects, and rooms designed to disorient. Please consider these things and if this attraction is suitable for you or members of your party. All patrons will voluntarily assume all risks and dangers associated with the attraction and agrees to release the operator(s), affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and landlord from any liability, harm, injury or death, cost or expense whatsoever that may arise directly or indirectly from attending this attraction. Are pictures/videos allowed?

Pictures and photo opportunities are available outside of the attraction. There is no flash photography or video allowed inside the haunt.

Will anyone touch me?

No, we are a no contact haunt. Please refrain from touching our actors, anyone found to be intentionally touching our actors will be promptly removed from the attraction. The exception is the offer of a one-on-one interaction, which is optional. If you do not want it please step back and it will be offered to another attendee.

Can I leave early if I need to?

Yes, this is not a lock down event. You are free to leave or regroup as needed. It is not a maze, so it is easy to get back to the lobby at any time, and our staff is trained to assist anyone having a hard time.

If I get too scared to make it through, will I get a refund?

Sorry, no refunds. If you’re too scared, we did our job.
